Loved the food, loved the employees. Shoutout to Partha for being so accommodating and kind. The place was a bit loud due to the small kids and the limited space but otherwise would def recommend!
We tried a variety of items — Frankie roll, paneer schezwan sandwiches, piri piri momos, masala chais, masala soda, dahi bhalla, aloo tikki burger, and the noodles burger — and every single thing was absolutely delicious! It truly felt like a taste of home (India). Authentic flavors, perfectly spiced, and made with love. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back!
Discovered another Ottawa gem serving amazing Indian street food! The staff were courteous and friendly, and the ambience was spot on. We took a friend's recommendation and weren't disappointed. We ordered Peri Peri Vada Pav, peri peri fries, samosa, Kadak chai, and Sadi wala coffee - everything was top-notch. Even my partner, a skilled cook with high standards, raved about the dishes. The Vada Pav stood out, with perfectly balanced spice and salt levels. Highly recommend and must try place in Ottawa.
When it comes to Indian food, you can't go wrong. Sadly I still don't know all the terms I need to understand the menu by myself so I asked for recommendations. The staff were really nice and we took them on their recommendations, Samosa Chaat, Pav Vav, and Masala Chais to drink. All of them were delicious. Excited to come back to try more of their offerings.
Delicious food and great service! The paneer paratha was soft and flavorful, kachori and samosa were perfectly crispy, and the chai was rich and refreshing. Friendly staff made the experience even better. Highly recommended!

The ambiance is so beautiful with Bollywood music humming in the background and colorful decor. A visit to this place feels like a direct flight to the streets of Delhi or Mumbai. Pani of pani puri was actually made from fresh coriander and mint rather than just water and masala. Spring Rolls (Noodle) were crunchy, filled with well cooked and seasoned noodles. And Pav Bhaji — easily the star of the menu. Creamy, buttery, and loaded with perfectly spiced mashed vegetables, it came sizzling hot on a steel plate, with soft, golden pav buns toasted in generous amounts of butter. The staff is so warm and welcoming. Their hospitality adds that extra touch, making the whole experience even more memorable Whether you're a homesick Indian or just someone with a serious love for street eats, go to Tapri Chai who doesn’t just serve food, it serves memories Highly recommended. The food and drinks were all delicious! Very friendly service, great advice and ideas for what to order. I especially loved the chai and vada pav.
It's a great place for food lovers who would love to taste authentic indian food. We had Puri and Kadak chai, which was perfect. The restaurant looked unique inside and the staff was very friendly. We would definitely go there again to have a different meal.
